Afternoon Tea with Mellorware (and Mr Fox)
A recent shoot that I’ve done with the beautiful Annie Dornan-Smith for her blog involving the beautifully decorated Mellorware tea set with hand painted watercolour illustrations of forest animals.
Taking advantage of the brief British sun we have in early May amidst the rainy forecasts. We shot the pictures here in Memorial Park among the trees and spacious green fields with the sun to aid in beautiful natural lighting and I often stuck to the 50mm f/1.8 to produce slight bokeh and brilliant depth of field with sharpness and clarity. It’s my favourite lens so far for a reason!

Censored
Influenced by Baldessari and taken for my A2 project folder under the subject of obscurity, the series focuses on hiding elements of an individual that we so easily relate to.
Each individual’s face covered up with different coloured streaks, this almost removes the personality and character within the individual, the viewer finding themselves trying to fill in the dots to gain some idea or inclination about the individual in question.
With the colours aiming to give rhythm to the composition as the viewer flicks from one photo to another, encouraging them to look at each individual in turn.

Outtake roundup for April 2013
Featuring myself and the usual jokers Tom, Ellery, Annie and Bradley but this time with our newcomer Barclay.
Was definitely fun during the last few shoots during April, getting multiple series out of the way in order to finish my exam folders, with my models thankfully a long for the ride. With their help hopefully I’ll be able to finish two folders in time and then its exam season before being whisked off to university for more lens based adventures!
